Cookstown Credit Union Limited
After a meeting in 12 March 1965 in the townhall, Cookstown Credit Union came to life. The first collection came to £26. The first premises were a room at a property on William St offered by a Mr A. Eastwood.
Opening times then were Fridays 5 till 7pm as membership increased the time was extended to 9pm. One year on and the loan book was heading over £2500. 1969 was when it was decided to purchase premises on Molesworth Street and the first meeting was held
in August 1970 in the future permanent credit union home.
