             Promoting Unity-Preserving the Past-Educating the Present-Enriching the Future

Launched in 2016 in partnership with The Credit Union Foundation and Citi Foundation, CU  Futures is a 10-month development programme, including an industry standard qualification accredited by the London Institute of Banking and Finance, to give meaningful development support to future credit union managers, directors and leaders. The aim is to make CU Futures a sustainable programme, funded by ABCUL Members to attract and retain talent within the credit union movement, and to educate and strengthen the sector by providing the necessary tools and resources to develop strong leadership.

Credit Union Futures Class of 2018

The second CU Futures graduation ceremony took place In March 2018 as part of the ABCUL annual conference. Once again it was a very special occasion to see another class of passionate and committed young people celebrating their hard work and achievements over the past year.

Credit Union Futures Class of 2017

The class have celebrated their graduation from the programme. Candidates worked on a group project towards addressing challenges facing the credit union sector. The future leaders received their scrolls at the ABCUL Annual Conference Manchester in March 2017. One of the key aims is retaining young talent and equipping them with the relevant skills and knowledge to manage credit unions and support sustainability and succession planning for the sector.
