1991 Registered Beswick and Openshaw as a Credit Union Number 235C

 1999 Became east Manchester Credit Union

 2000 Opened first shop on Beswick precinct

 2001 Started first major expansion with Eastserve project (also Loan Guarantee Scheme)

 2006 Department of Works and Pension Growth Fund contract/transfer of engagements from Gorton Credit Union

2006 Department of Works and Pension Growth Fund contract/transfer of engagements from Gorton Credit Union

 2007 Became Manchester Credit Union-opened second shop in Miles Platting

2008 Growth Fund 2 Transfer of engagement form Wythenshawe Credit Union

 2009 New premises opened in Moss Side and Wythenshawe

 2011 Common Bond Extension to cover Rochdale and Tameside Money Spinner

 2012 Further extension of common bond see map

 2015 On International Credit Union Day (ICUD) 15 October the Flagship City Centre Branch was opened.
